Mission and Programs

Mission
TheTeachersPet.org's objective is to provide teachers an opportunity to be recognized and rewarded for their dedication and hard work in providing our students the foundation necessary to become productive citizens and future leaders.

TheTeachersPet.org strives to build relationships within your community with corporations, foundations and individuals in an effort to support recruitment, retention, and the continued professional development of teachers, one of our nation's most valuable assets.

Together, we help to ensure a quality educational experience for our future workforce.

Programs
The TeachersPet.org is geared toward helping K-12 public and private school teachers. We provide teachers the opportunity to request resources through our Teachers Wish List which will be posted on the Sponsors portion of our website. Therefore we can match teacher's needs with corporations willing to donate materials. We will also provide a Teachers Tips forum where teachers from across the country can mentor and share tips with other teachers. They can also ask questions and get/give advice. The TeachersPet.org will also offer funding to teachers for schools supplies purchased with personal funds that would be reimbursed by their schools- if schools had enough funds to do it.

Additional Comments
The TeachersPet.org is committed to the recruitment, retention, and the continued professional development of teachers. We are working with local area merchants to provide discounts to teachers at retail stores and we are now looking for corporate sponsors, local merchants, foundations, and individuals to help reward one of the greatest assets to our nation's future- Today's teachers!

Balance Sheet: Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2002

Notes
The balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot long survive, but the types of assets and liabilities also must be considered. For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables, securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities (payables, deferred revenue, current year loan and note payments). Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
