Mission and Programs

Mission

The Dream Center is dedicated to providing the resources and opportunities to help low-income, homeless and underserved individuals and families in the inner city of Los Angeles move toward self suffiency through counseling, education and training.

Programs

Adopt-A-Block:
A program where teams of volunteers go out to low-income neighborhoods and mow lawns, clean streets, paint graffiti and do minor home repairs.

Food outreach Programs:
We serve the homeless three hot meals daily, deliver and provide groceries at 23 sites for over 30,000 people a week, in addition to going out to the Skid Row to serve hot meals to those living on the Street.

Adult and Teen Rehabilitation:
A one year residential rehabilitation program. These programs address the root causes of each individual's situation. They participate in counseling to overcome addictions and abuses with the goal of successfully returning to their families or re-entering the community.

DC Connections:
A one year transitional program for those who completed the adult program in which graduates are taught basic life skills and are prepared to re-establish themselves as contributing members of the community.
