Mission

Endorsed by The American Lifeguard Association, and affiliated with the President's call to service, USA Freedom Corps and The American Safety and Health Institute, Global Lifeguards is an internet based not for profit volunteer organization dedicated to uniting volunteers worldwide, promoting health and safety, education and communication.

Programs

The Emergency Workers Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund was created to help provide financial support to volunteers, law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, and other emergency worker professionals and their families who need assistance after a devastating affects of the Hurricanes.

An exciting extension to our health and safety program, we now offer a variety of classes and products to help promote and develop a unified team of providers worldwide. Utilizing banner advertisements and Global Lifeguards unique automated Registration and Verification System, organizations and qualified instructors are able to offer available classes and products to potential students, including CPR, First Aid, Lifeguarding, Swimming, and similar classes.

Accomplishments for Fiscal Year Ending 12/31/2004

  1. We now have the capability of sending community and coastal alerts by text message to cell phones, pagers, and e-mail addresses as well as the Internet.
  2. Our re-designed website is much more functional to navigate.
  3. Provided a Forum for anyone interested in community related issues.
Objectives for Fiscal Year Beginning 01/01/2005
  1. To create an Emergency Workers Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund to help provide financial support to active emergency personnel, including law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, other related rescue personnel who may need assistance after a disaster, crisis, or emergency.
  2. To educate volunteers worldwide on how to reognize hazards and the significance of activating the public safety system.
  3. To encourage volunteers to save lives through CPR, First Aid, and other related Health and Safety Classes.
Chief Executive Profile

President Bill Schauman holds a B.A. in Organizational Management, is a New Jersey State Police graduate, an FBI National Academy graduate, certified firefigher, EMT and Law Enforcement officer.

Additional Comments

The benefits to communities within Global Lifeguards locations will include: increased public support for emergency workers, increased life safety by providing the public with community related information and internet alerts, including vital information for environmental and weather related emergencies, and suspicious incidents.
