Additional Comments
In November 2006, WMI was among only ten nonprofit organizations recognized by the Secretary of State's office for its annual Angels list of trustworthy charities. The Angels lists are the Secretary of State?s annual listing of those charities that represent some of the best of charitable giving. WMI ranked fourth on the Angel list, with 89.2% of total expenses in 2005 going directly to its programs. WMI also achieved Charity Navigator's top rating for sound fiscal management. Less than a quarter of the charities evaluated receive the prestigious 4-star rating. In addition, WMI was named one of the Top 10 Charities Expanding in a Hurry and one of the Top 10 Highly Rated Charities Relying on Private Contributions by Charity Navigator. Commenting on these top 10 ratings, Charity Navigator stated, Expect to hear about these ten charities long into the future. They are growing dramatically. Most charities derive large chunks of revenue from earned income, membership fees, and government contracts and grants. Ranked by overall score, these excellent charities draw revenue solely from direct and indirect public support. They report no government funding, no membership fees, and no revenue from earned income. As a result, more than 95% of their total revenue comes from private contributions, which makes the efficiency of their fundraising operations all the more impressive.

Balance
Sheet: Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2007
Notes
The
balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization
at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should
generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot long survive,
but the types of assets and liabilities also must be considered.
For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables,
securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities
(payables, deferred revenue, current year loan and note payments).
Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other
hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed
its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
