Chief Executive Profile
Vicki B. Escarra became President and Chief Executive Officer of America?s Second Harvest ? The Nation?s Food Bank Network on March 1, 2006.
As leader of the nation?s largest hunger-relief organization, Escarra has sought to increase the amount of food that is available to hungry people by enhancing relationships with corporate America, government partners and individuals. In her time as President and CEO, Escarra has launched the development of a new strategic plan, brought new corporate partners into the organization and heightened the visibility of the organization with hunger-relief features in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, the NBC Nightly News and other publications and programs.
Escarra is a 30-year veteran of Delta Air Lines, most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Chief Customer Service Officer. In that role, Escarra was responsible for corporate customer service strategy, leading a work force of 52,000. While Chief Marketing Officer, Escarra expanded Delta?s revenue by establishing unique agreements with organizational partners, restructured the customer loyalty program to increase customer satisfaction and created a consumer research department to analyze brand positioning for organizational advancement. She was responsible for the first global redesign and reengineering of Delta?s flight schedule following the events of September 11, 2001.
Escarra served as Chairman of the Board of the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau from 2004 to 2006. As Chairman she led a diverse team, which helped bring more revenue to the area through business and tourism. She also served as the Chairman of the Brand Atlanta Marketing Campaign for Mayor Shirley Franklin in 2005.
She serves on the boards of Health Net, Inc., A.G. Edwards, Inc., The Congressional Hunger Center and The Committee of 200.

Balance
Sheet: Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2008
Notes
The
balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization
at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should
generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot long survive,
but the types of assets and liabilities also must be considered.
For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables,
securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities
(payables, deferred revenue, current year loan and note payments).
Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other
hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed
its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
