Mission and Programs
Mission
We are health care professionals and other concerned individuals from Indianapolis, Indiana, who have heard a calling to offer our talents and training to the homeless and indigent.
Through our volunteer efforts, we endeavor to provide competent, accessible, and compassionate health care to needy.
Our faith moves us to show special respect and dignity to those who have been neglected; for we realize that it is such a healing encounter that we are all made more whole by God.
Programs
Gennesaret Free Clinic (GFC) is one of two health care agencies providing health and social services to homeless men, women, and children in Indianapolis, Indiana. Gennesaret Free Clinic strives to provide competent, accessible, and compassionate health care through the use of over 300 volunteer health care professionals and others who staff our clinics. These clinics are located at the Care Center, DaySpring Center, Foltz Foundation Programs, Holy Family Shelter, Lighthouse Mission, Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation, and the St. Vincent DePaul Choice Food Pantry. In addition to these clinics, GFC has a medical van that serves people on the street at Veterans Park and at Cathedral Kitchen. In addition to medical services, GFC also has a dental and vision program, a pediatric asthma clinic, a Women's Health Initiative, and an annual Shelter Health Fair.

Balance
Sheet: Fiscal Year Ending September 30, 2008
Notes
The
balance sheet gives a snapshot of the financial health of an organization
at a particular point in time. An organization's total assets should
generally exceed its total liabilities, or it cannot long survive,
but the types of assets and liabilities also must be considered.
For instance, an organization's current assets (cash, receivables,
securities, etc.) should be sufficient to cover its current liabilities
(payables, deferred revenue, current year loan and note payments).
Otherwise, the organization may face solvency problems. On the other
hand, an organization whose cash and equivalents greatly exceed
its current liabilities might not be putting its money to best use.
